By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions regarding the scope of our business, our relationship with clients and attorneys, and the relevant rules of professional conduct.
Business relationship with attorneys and legal professionals
Affinity Paralegal Professionals
Provides virtual paralegal support services exclusively to licensed attorneys and law firms. We do not provide services directly to the public.
- No attorney-client relationship: Your use of our services does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Affinity Paralegal Professionals
We are retained and supervised by the licensed attorney for whom we perform work.
- Paralegals do not practice law: As a virtual paralegal company, we do not employ licensed attorneys. Our paralegals are not authorized to practice law, offer legal advice, set legal fees, or represent clients in court.
- Attorney supervision is required: We provide services based on the explicit direction and supervision of the hiring attorney. The hiring attorney is ultimately responsible for the delegated work and is accountable for the legal and ethical conduct of the paralegal staff.
- Attorney responsibility for professional judgment: All legal decisions, including determining strategy, advising the client, and exercising legal judgment, remain the sole responsibility of the supervising attorney.
Rules of Professional Conduct and legal ethics
Affinity Paralegal Professionals is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards; however, the ultimate responsibility for compliance with all rules of professional conduct lies with the supervising attorney.
- Federal rules of professional conduct: Attorneys must ensure that their engagement of a virtual paralegal complies with all applicable federal and state rules of professional conduct, including, but not limited to, rules governing the unauthorized practice of law (UPL), supervision of non-lawyers, confidentiality, and conflicts of interest.
- Confidentiality: Our team maintains strict confidentiality regarding all information provided by the supervising attorney. We take reasonable measures to protect client data, but the supervising attorney remains responsible for ensuring all communications and data transfers are compliant with professional ethics rules.
- Conflicts of interest: It is the responsibility of the hiring attorney to conduct all necessary conflicts checks before engaging our services on a new matter. We cannot undertake a representation until we are assured that doing so will not involve a conflict of interest.

- Use of services at your own risk: The attorney and their law firm are solely responsible for the use of our services.

expressly disclaims all liability with respect to actions taken or not taken based on the work provided.
- No guarantee of outcome: We do not provide any guarantees, promises, or assurances regarding the outcome of any legal matter. Legal results are dependent upon a variety of factors unique to each case.
